CMYK to RGB Converter
Convert CMYK print colors to RGB screen colors instantly. Enter the four percentage values and get the exact RGB, HEX, HSL and HSV outputs.
Format: cyan, magenta, yellow, black (each 0–100). Example: 91, 61, 0, 6

What Is CMYK to RGB Conversion?
CMYK to RGB conversion translates print ink values into screen light values. CMYK represents the percentage of cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink that a printer will lay down. RGB represents the intensity of red, green and blue light that a screen will emit. Converting between them requires mapping a subtractive color space onto an additive one.
How CMYK to RGB Works
Each RGB channel is calculated as 255 × (1 − C/M/Y) × (1 − K). The result is a straightforward, deterministic conversion that matches what most design tools use.
cmyk(91, 61, 0, 6)
Normalize: C=0.91, M=0.61, Y=0.00, K=0.06
R = 255 × (1-C) × (1-K) = 255 × 0.09 × 0.94 = 21
G = 255 × (1-M) × (1-K) = 255 × 0.39 × 0.94 = 94
B = 255 × (1-Y) × (1-K) = 255 × 1.00 × 0.94 = 239
Result: rgb(21, 94, 239) → #155EEF
Why Convert CMYK to RGB?
- Digital asset preparation: Converting legacy print colors to screen colors for websites.
- Brand identity systems: Documenting both CMYK (for print) and RGB (for screen) versions of brand colors.
- Presentation decks: Slides need screen colors, but may source colors from print guides.
- Verification: Checking that a print color will look correct when viewed on screen.
Limitations to Understand
CMYK and RGB have different gamuts. Bright, saturated RGB colors (especially in the cyan-blue range) are outside the CMYK gamut and will look noticeably duller in print. Likewise, certain muted CMYK colors look more vibrant when converted to RGB. Always validate against a real printed proof for critical work.
