Our Commitment to Transparency
OmniColor is a free website. Every tool on this site — from the color picker to the WCAG contrast checker — is provided at no cost to you, with no account required, no paywall, and no artificial limits. We believe professional color tools should be accessible to everyone, and we are committed to keeping them that way.
To sustain this, OmniColor is supported by advertising. This page explains exactly how that works.
How OmniColor Is Funded
The site is funded entirely through advertising. We do not:
- Sell user data (we have no user data to sell)
- Charge for any tool
- Require an account or email signup to use tools
- Run paid subscriptions
- Accept paid placements for "featured" tools
Advertising revenue covers hosting, domain, and development costs, and helps us keep investing in new tools and content.
Advertising Networks We Use
Adsterra
OmniColor partners with Adsterra for banner, native and display advertising. Adsterra serves advertisements based on the content of the page and, if you have consented to personalized advertising, based on your browsing behavior across sites.
Adsterra's privacy policy applies to cookies and data set by their advertisements: adsterra.com/privacy-policy
Google AdSense
OmniColor may use Google AdSense to display text, display and in-article advertisements. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Google's privacy practices: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Other Networks
From time to time, we may test additional advertising networks. When we do, they will be listed here and in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Where Advertisements Appear
Advertisements on OmniColor appear only in designated ad slots:
- Header ad: A single banner between the navigation and the main content (never inside the tool).
- Sidebar ad: Display ads in the sidebar of tool pages.
- In-content ad: A single ad placed within long-form article content, clearly separated from text.
- Bottom-of-page ad: A single banner above the footer.
- Mobile ad: A single ad slot optimized for mobile viewing.
We do not place more than one ad above the fold. We do not stack multiple ads to create a "wall of ads" experience.
Where Advertisements Do Not Appear
Advertisements are never placed:
- Inside tool interfaces: Advertisements never overlay or overlap with color pickers, palette generators, gradient editors, contrast checkers, or any interactive tool.
- Disguised as navigation or buttons: No ad is designed to look like a tool button, navigation link, or interactive UI element.
- In the primary content area of tools: The tool always comes first; ads never interrupt the actual workflow.
- On legal pages: Our privacy policy, terms, disclaimer, and other legal pages do not display advertising.
- On the 404, offline, or error pages.
We Never Do This
- No forced clicks: We never require you to click an ad to continue using a tool.
- No deceptive redirects: We do not redirect you to ads without your action.
- No accidental-click layouts: Ads are not placed adjacent to buttons in ways likely to cause accidental clicks.
- No popunder ads: We do not use pop-under windows or intrusive interstitial ads.
- No auto-playing video: Ad slots do not auto-play video with sound.
- No fake "close" buttons: Ad close buttons are the ad network's genuine close buttons, not disguised navigation.
- No malware: We only work with reputable ad networks and immediately report malicious ad content.
Advertising and Editorial Independence
Advertisers have no influence over OmniColor's editorial content. This means:
- Advertisers cannot purchase favorable coverage of their products.
- We do not accept payment for "tool reviews" or "featured tool" placements.
- Advertisements are not tailored based on which tools you use.
- If an advertiser's product conflicts with our editorial values, we reserve the right to refuse their ad.
- We do not run affiliate links disguised as editorial recommendations.
Consent and Personalization
Advertising cookies and personalized advertising are disabled by default. When you first visit OmniColor, the cookie consent banner asks whether you want to accept advertising cookies.
- If you accept: Advertisements may be personalized based on browsing behavior (subject to each network's targeting capabilities).
- If you decline: Only non-personalized advertisements are shown, or the ad slots may remain empty.
- You can change your mind anytime: Clear your browser's site data for omnicolor.pages.dev to reset the consent decision.
See our Cookie Policy for detailed information about advertising cookies.
Opting Out of Personalized Advertising
If you prefer not to receive personalized ads, you have several options:
- Decline advertising cookies on the OmniColor consent banner.
- Opt out of Google personalized ads: google.com/settings/ads
- Opt out industry-wide (US): aboutads.info/choices
- Opt out industry-wide (EU): youronlinechoices.eu
- Use a browser ad blocker: We do not block ad blockers. The site works fully with an ad blocker installed.
Ad Quality and Malware
We use reputable advertising networks and have configured our ad slots to prevent low-quality or malicious content. However, ad delivery is controlled by third parties, and we cannot fully guarantee every ad. If you see an advertisement that:
- Contains malware or deceptive redirects
- Is inappropriate or offensive
- Misrepresents a product
- Causes performance problems on the site
Please report it to us at ads@omnicolor.pages.dev with a screenshot if possible. We take these reports seriously and will work with our ad networks to remove the offending ad.
Ad-Related Privacy
What ad networks may see:
- Your IP address (used for geo-targeting and security)
- Your browser user-agent string
- The page you are viewing on OmniColor

What ad networks never see from us:
- Your email (we never collect it unless you contact us)
- Your saved colors or tool preferences (stored only in your browser's localStorage)
- Images you upload for color extraction (processed entirely client-side)
