Overview

OmniColor ("we", "our", "us") operates the website at omnicolor.pages.dev. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights concerning that information. We have designed OmniColor to collect as little data as possible.

The most important fact: every color tool on this website runs entirely in your browser. When you upload an image for color extraction, pick a color, generate a palette or gradient, we do not upload that data to any server. There is no backend that receives your images, colors or design work.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

If you contact us through the contact page, we receive whatever information you choose to send — typically your email address and message. We use this only to respond to your message.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we receive certain technical information automatically when you visit:

  • IP address (used for security and rate limiting, not stored long-term)
  • Browser type, device type and operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring URL if you arrived from another site

This is standard server log data, retained only as long as necessary for security and abuse prevention.

Information stored locally in your browser

OmniColor stores some preferences locally using the browser's localStorage — for example, your saved favorite colors, recent color history, and cookie consent preference. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by clearing your browser's site data.

Cookies

OmniColor uses two categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for basic site function, including remembering your cookie consent preference. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies: Used to understand site traffic and, if advertising is enabled, to serve relevant advertisements. These are opt-in only — they are not set until you accept them in the cookie banner.

Advertising

OmniColor may display advertisements through third-party advertising networks, including Adsterra and/or Google AdSense. These networks may set cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other sites.

Analytics

Data Security

We use HTTPS for all connections, do not store sensitive personal information, and follow best practices for static-site security. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure — you use OmniColor at your own risk.

Data Retention

Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security purposes. Local storage in your browser persists until you clear it. Contact form messages are retained as long as necessary to address your inquiry.

International Transfers

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes data in geographically-distributed data centers. Standard Contractual Clauses are in place for EU-US transfers where required.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
