What Is a Gradient Picker?

A gradient picker lets you click anywhere on a gradient to sample the intermediate color at that position. It is useful when you need to know what color two other colors blend into at a specific point — for example, to pick a midpoint color for a text label, a border, or a third color stop.

How to Use the Gradient Picker

  1. Build your gradient with the color stops (2 to many colors).
  2. Adjust the angle to change direction.
  3. Click anywhere on the gradient preview.
  4. The intermediate color at that exact position is captured as HEX.
  5. Copy the HEX value to use in your design.

When to Use a Gradient Picker

  • Mid-point colors: Find the color at 50% of any gradient.
  • Refined stops: Sample intermediate colors and use them as new stops for smoother gradients.
  • Contrast verification: Check text color against a specific gradient position.
  • Design matching: Match a solid color to a gradient region in a reference design.
