What Is a Gradient Generator?
A gradient generator is a visual tool that helps you build CSS gradients without writing the syntax manually. You pick colors, set positions and rotation, see the result live, and copy production-ready CSS. It removes the trial-and-error of crafting gradients by hand.
OmniColor's gradient generator supports all three CSS gradient types — linear, radial and conic — with unlimited color stops and instant CSS output. Everything runs in your browser, so no uploads and no signup.
Gradient Types Explained
- Linear: Colors transition along a straight line at a configurable angle (0° = bottom to top, 90° = left to right, 135° = top-left to bottom-right).
- Radial: Colors transition outward from a center point in a circle or ellipse — useful for spotlights and highlight effects.
- Conic: Colors transition around a center point like a clock — perfect for color wheels, charts and circular progress indicators.
How to Use the Gradient Generator
- Choose the gradient type (linear, radial or conic).
- Adjust the angle for linear/conic gradients.
- Click any color swatch to change its color.
- Adjust the position slider (0–100%) to move color stops.
- Add or remove stops as needed.
